Need advise on best way to blow Rockwool insulation into a wall space for sound insulation.?

I don't have a wet blower, just a rental machine. Don't want to use cellulose because it settles, rockwool does not. Wall has staggered 2×4 studs on a 6" plate.

the first answer is right on if you can get to your top plate. I have done this in the following manner.find the center of each bay using a hole saw 21/4 " drill two holes in each bay one at the top and one in the center of each bay saving the cut outs to use to patch the holes start in the center hole and fill to the bottom edge of your hole go to the top and fill the rest of the cavity insert the saved plugs use mesh dry wall tape and mud repaint your walls. good luck

What you're going to have to do is cut 2 holes in the top plates of the walls. One will depend on the size of the blower tube, and the other should be about an inch in diameter to let air escape. Trust me, it's a mess if you don't cut that second hole, you'll get a bunch of insulation in the face. Good luck, hope this helps.
