That is pretty cheap unless you need 5/8 fire rated rock. That is more expensive but this is not an area to cut corners. I have been through a house fire. You could have serious regrets if you shortcut and lord forbid you have a disaster. Fires can happen to anybody without warning. It is not worth cheaping out to save a couple bucks.
